This week your baby has elbows and fingers that can be seen and the fingers and toes are webbed at this stage. His or her eyelids almost cover his eyes, and his or her breathing tubes have extended from his throat to the branches of his developing lungs. The tail seen in earlier weeks is mostly gone. In his brain, nerve cells are branching out to connect with one another, forming primitive neural pathways. He or she is now the size of a kidney bean and keeps moving around in the womb despite mom not being able to feel him or her.
